🐾 ROAR Community UpdateHello ROAR Friends!Summer has been a busy season for our volunteers, fosters, and veterinary partners. Thanks to your support, we've continued making a difference for animals across Roatán—one rescue, one treatment, and one happy ending at a time. Here's a quick look at what your generosity made possible this month. |
📊 July By the Numbers |
Because of you, in July we were able to provide: 🐾 85 animals fed 🏥 93 animals received veterinary care 💉 71 animals vaccinated 🛡️ 60 animals treated for fleas and ticks 🚗 21 animals transported to appointments ❤️ 35 field rescue and outreach responses ✂️ Spay & Neuter Investment:$1,559 USD 🩺 Medical Care Provided:$4,992 USD 💙 Total Veterinary Care:$6,551 USD Every number represents an animal whose life was changed because people like you cared. |
🐾 ROAR Mobile Initiative Update |
 |
While our volunteers continue responding to animals in need every day, we're also working toward something that will help reduce the number of animals needing rescue in the future. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, ROAR Mobile has officially reached 50 Founding Members! 🎉 Every membership is helping us build Roatán's island-wide mobile spay and neuter initiative—a long-term solution designed to reduce homeless animal populations through prevention. Our next milestone is 75 Founding Members, and we'll be sharing more about that campaign soon. If you know someone who believes in creating lasting change for Roatán's animals, we'd love for you to share the mission with them. Become a Founding MemberJoin for $25/month for one year or $300 one-time and help build Roatán's long-term solution. |

💭 Why We Sometimes Have to Say "Not Right Now" |
One of the hardest parts of animal rescue is knowing we can't always help every animal immediately. ROAR is a foster-based organization—we don't have a shelter building. Every animal we take in depends on available foster homes, veterinary resources, volunteers, and funding. Sometimes we have to ask people to wait or help them find another solution until space becomes available. It never means we don't care. It means we're working hard to provide the best possible care for the animals already depending on us, while preparing to help the next one in need. Thank you for understanding and supporting this approach. |
